So, that Captain Planet’s Planeteers = the kids from The Magic School Bus all grown up pic going around? Add the fact that someone’s pointed out that River Song (from Doctor Who) and Ms. Frizzle with her Magic School Bus look eerily similar and have similar crazy technology.

Now, in my head, there is a whole crack universe where River Song is a professor, but also has taught elementary school science with a TARDIS-Bus because it’s not like her entire life was about the Doctor. I mean, he spent 200 years avoiding death. Alone. She had time on her hands after they’d exchanged their first/last kiss in Stormcage and might not have been showing up all that many nights anymore. It’s unclear how old she is in the Library, as she hinted in “Let’s Kill Hitler” that she might be taking her age down gradually, “just to freak people out” meaning we just know she hasn’t regenerated (obviously) but her actual age is anyone’s guess. So she taught kids science so they could then be effective Planeteers (because that’s totally alien technology there) and it’s no good to save the planet from aliens all the time if humans ruin it themselves.

This is what would happen if Marry Poppins was a science teacher. But she’s obviously a different Time Lord, so, um, yeah. River Song: totally a science teacher. With a doctorate and the ability to time-travel.
